Gallardo, Brewers Top Indians 7-5

Yovani Gallardo did not pitch the best game of his career, but he was able to help the Brewers get a 7-5 win in Cleveland against the Indians. Gallardo was taking 7 to 8 pitches to get batters out and over the long haul of a MLB season that will be a killer. Even though Gallardo has won for the third time in his last four starts you would like to see his pitch count much lower.

The Brewers offense  pounded out 12 hits in the win with J.J. Hardy getting two of them and also two RBI’s. Hardy has struggled lately and the Brewers really need him to come alive if they hope to continue to play well.  Bill Hall was 0-4 again and I think sending him down to the minors to get his head on straight might be the option. The only problem with that is he maynot be willing to go which could create a problem. If not keeping Hall on the bench for an extended period of time might be the best choice.

Jeff Suppan will go for the Brewers tonight as the Brewers look to make it three in a row against the Indians. Teams like Cleveland that are struggling are the ones you need to beat. So far so good for the Brewers.
