Brewers Continue July’s Swoon As washington Beats Them 8-3

Don’t look Brewer fans, but the playoffs are slowing fading away as the Brewers dropped another one to the Washington Nationals this time by a score of 8-3. The same old story no pitching again leads to another Brewer loss. The Brewers have now lost 16 out of 23 and it looks like unless some miracle turnaround happens Brewer fans will be treated to no playoffs again.

Last night the Brewers decided to start Carlos Villanueva because of the pitching problems they have had and he did not fare much better. Villanueva allowed five runs and eight hits in four innings of work.  Not to be outdone though the bullpen helped out by giving up another three runs. The Brewers also gave up three home runs yesterday including Adam Dunn’s home run. I wonder if it has come down yet.

J.J. Hardy and Ryan Braun had good games hitting the ball, but once again the pitching was not up to par. The Brewers still have a chance at the playoffs, but need to get some quality starts soon or it will be another season of discontent in Milwaukee.
