Braun, Hoffman Help Brewers Beat Dodgers 6-5

There was a reason the Milwaukee Brewers signed Trevor Hoffman it was to come in and get the important outs when you need them. Hoffman was able to get Manny Ramirez to fly out with the bases loaded in the bottom of the ninth to give the Brewers a 6-5 win. Hoffman has been great all season long and a win like this can only help the Brewers who have been struggling of late.

Ryan Braun was 4 for 5 including a home run and three RBI’s and Casey McGehee had two hits to help pace the Brewers. Last night Braun might be most remembered for the battle he had against Dodger pitching as he would not give up and battled them each time he was up. Braun is becoming a leader on this team which is something I like out of him.

Manny Parra did a great job pitching last night going 8.0 innings giving up just four earned runs. Trevor Hoffman came in the ninth inning and was able to close it out and pick up his 24th save for the Brewers.  Well the Brewers showed me something last night with this win. They are not throwing the towel in and still fighting which is good to see. They still have a chance at this division and have two months to go. Hopefully they will continue to battle all the way to the end.
