Gallardo Ends His Season With Win Over Astros

Yovani Gallardo knew that yesterday was going to be his last start of the season so he wanted to make sure it was a good one. Gallardo pitched well and got plenty of support and got the win as the Brewers beat the Houston Astros by a score of 6-0. Gallardo was on a pitch count as he has logged a lot of innings and management has decided to shut him down for the rest of the season.

Gallardo only pitched 5.0 innings in the game and he gave up just three hits and no earned runs while getting seven strikeouts in the process. The bullpen finished the game for Gallardo with shutout relief which was good to see. Milwaukee has now won five games in a row it has been a long time since Brewer fans have been able to say that.

Prince Fielder, Corey Hart, and Jody Gerut all went deep for the Brewers who got a early lead for Gallardo and made it much easier for him to pitch. When pitchers get a lead they can settle down and pitch there game and that makes getting people out much easier. The Brewers now play Chicago Cubs who seem to be struggling like the Brewers at times.
