Gallardo, Fielder Win Writers Awards

Prince Fielder was voted as the Milwaukee Brewers MVP by the Milwaukee Chapter of the Baseball Writers Association of America. This award should really come as no surprise as Fielder was the best player on the team. He tied for the NL league in RBI’s and almost won the Home Run Crown as well. Fielder deserved this award.

Now giving Yovani Gallardo the award for the Most Valuable Pitcher. He edged out Trevor Hoffman for the award. Now I personally think that Hoffman should have won this award. He was the Most Valuable Pitcher by far. Without him the Brewers would have lost a lot more games. Hoffman did win the award as the best newcomer to the team.

Craig Counsell earned the Good Guy Award for the second consecutive season. Counsell is one player that you know when he is put out on the field you always will get the best from him. He is an everyday player and I would love to see the Brewers let him play everyday, but that is not likely.
