Brewers Turn Down Option On Braden Looper

The Milwaukee Brewers friday decided not to pick up the option on Braden Looper which really surprised me. Looper will get a one million dollar buyout and can become a free agent. He was the Brewers winninest pitcher, but struggled down the stretch and the Brewers felt it was not a good idea to keep him.
In a way I have mixed emotions about Looper. At times he did struggle, but other times he was not that bad. I guess we will have to see how this works out for the Brewers. The Brewers right now still have four returning starters in Yovani Gallardo, Dave Bush, Jeff Suppan and Manny Parra.
