The Milwaukee Brewers have deals with Randy Wolf and LaTroy Hawkins to bolster a pitching staff that was one of the worse in the National League last season. Randy Wolf has agreed to a three-year contract worth $29.75 million, with a option for a fourth year. Wolf was 11-7 with a 3.23 ERA this year in his lone season with the Los Angeles Dodgers. Wolf is a good pick-up if he can pitch as well as he did for the Dodgers last year.
LaTroy Hawkins was also signed by the Brewers. Hawkins, a 14-year veteran, made 65 appearances with Houston last season and was 1-4 with a 2.13 ERA and 11 saves. He has been around and brings a lot of experience to the team. I like both signings so we will see what they do. Hopefully the Brewers are not done bolstering their pitching staff.
