Before the day runs out, I wanted to remind everyone to wish their fathers a happy Father’s Day.
My dad encouraged me to be creative. He encouraged me to tell stories. He encouraged me to chase things that made me happy. He encouraged me to be rational, even-handed, and a gentleman.
He reminded me time and again that baseball was important, no matter what anyone else said.
He coached me in Greendale Twi-Nite baseball, and was understanding when we collectively discovered that I was better off watching it than playing it.
He reads every article, offers criticism, and challenges me to think differently about things every day.
Thank you Dad.
Make sure you all thank your dads, too.
