I don't think that Kyle Lohse instantly makes us a front runner - at most he probably takes us from fighting for the second wild card to a lock for the first. It would certainly be different it he were willing to compromise to be part of a new Major League team - but he isn't. And the Brewers aren't in the position to overpay for anyone. Lohse won't put us over the top in this division, and I think building the farm system should be the focus if we stayed out of free agency until this late in the game.
