The Milwaukee Brewers couldn’t keep its one game winning streak alive as the Crew fell to the Atlanta Braves 5-2 on Tuesday night.

Kyle Lohse pitched very well for Milwaukee, but didn’t receive enough offensive support. Lohse went seven innings, giving up three runs on five hits, including two home runs to Freddie Freeman. Jason Heyward also homered for the Braves. Lohse also struck out eight.

For the Braves, starting pitcher Alex Wood was as good as advertised. Besides giving up a home run to Carlos Gomez to lead off the bottom of the first inning, Wood kept the Brewers in check. Like Lohse, Wood lasted seven innings, allowing only one run.

Aramis Ramirez continued his hot streak as he collected two more hits, including an RBI single in the eighth. Ryan Braun went 0-3 with a strikeout.

Next on tap: The Brewers try to win the series as they face the Braves in the series finale on Wednesday at 12:35 p.m. CT. Matt Garza will make his Brewers debut as he faces Aaron Harang.
