According to MLB Columnist Jeff Passan of Yahoo! Sports, Ryan Braun‘s name appears in the records of the Miami-based clinic that has been accused of giving out performance-enhancing drugs to MLB players.

BREAKING: Ryan Braun’s name is in Biogenesis records and MLB will investigate his association with PED clinic.

— Jeff Passan (@JeffPassan) February 6, 2013

Unlike Alex Rodriguez, Melky Cabrera, and Gio Gonzalez, Braun’s name was not listed next to a specific performance-enhancing drug and Passan has stated that as of now, there is no evidence that indicates Braun took any type of banned substance. However, three different documents have Braun’s name written on it by Anthony Bosch, the clinic’s operator. As a result, Major League Baseball is investigating Braun’s involvement.

After a positive PED test in October of 2011, in which he was eventually exonerated, Braun has seen his name dragged through the mud and his honesty questioned. The majority of baseball fans believe he did in fact take PED’s and used a Fed Ex technicality as a scapegoat. To this day, Braun has refused to share what he calls “the real story”, leaving many people wondering what really happened.

If Braun wants to be taken seriously, he must give the public the real story of his postive drug test and why his name is listed in the records of the Biogenesis clinic, because as of now, he is guilty until proven innocent.

Meanwhile, Brewers fans are losing their minds.

UPDATE: Ryan Braun has released the following statement via Adam McCalvy:

“During the course of preparing for my successful appeal last year, my attorneys, who were previously familiar with Tony Bosch, used him as a consultant. More specifically, he answered questions about T/E ratio and possibilities of tampering with samples.”

“There was a dispute over compensation for Bosch’s work, which is why my lawyer and I are listed under ‘moneys owed’ and not on any other list.”

“I have nothing to hide and have never had any other relationship with Bosch. I will fully cooperate with any inquiry into this matter.”
