Brewers Get Shutout 5-0 By Cardinals

Adam Wainwright handcuffed the Milwaukee Brewers last night and the St. Louis Cardinals easily beat them by a score of 5-0. Wainwright pitched a gem of a game and he deserved to win and of course the Brewer bats were silent once again.  Right now the Brewers have plenty of problems on the offense side of the ball as well as pitching problems.

Last night Yovani Gallardo allowed four runs on six hits in just five innings. Gallardo threw 37 pitches in the first inning alone. You will not pitch well when you have to throw that many pitches in the first inning. Pitching also depends on the offense you have around you as well. I hope you’re listening Ryan Braun as you can call out all the pitchers you want, but unless you get some offense you cannot win ball games.

The Milwaukee Brewers have many issues and I think the All-Star break is coming at the perfect time for them. They need to clear their heads and refocus on what they need to do. If they do not it could be another season of what if’s for Milwaukee Brewer fans.
