Brewers Continue To Slide No matter Who They Play

I told everyone you would see what the Milwaukee Brewers baseball team was made of in the coming weeks as the schedule was pretty easy. So, what have the Brewers done really nothing much at all. In fact the Brewers went to Pittsburgh last night and dropped a 9-5 decision to the Pirates. Now this might not be  big deal, but the Pirates had only won 2 out of their last 14 days. It does not seem to matter though any team no matter how bad they are  seem to get healthy against the lowly Milwaukee Brewers.

Last night’s game in Pittsburgh was one I thought we could get and start the road trip off right. Carlos Villanueva lasted only 4.0 innings giving up 11 hits and six earned runs and toss in two home runs and your not going to win very many games by pitching like that. The bullpen gave up another three runs so Carlos was not the only one who could say they had a bad game.

Prince Fielder added another two RBI’s to his total and the Brewers pounded out 10 hits, but when you give up nine runs you will not win very many games. The Brewers are now at a point in the season unless they go on a very long winning streak you might as well put the fork in these Brewers. They have too much talent to play the way they are playing right now. Yes, the pitching staff is bad and Jeff Suppan and Dave  Bush will be returning. It will not matter anyways as Suppan and Bush did nothing earlier in the season and I do not see that changing anytime soon.
