Punchless Brewers Fall To Cubbies 2-0

Brewers Cubs Baseball

Jeff Suppan probably wonders what he has to do to get a win anymore in a Brewers uniform. In his last three starts the Brewers offense have combined for three runs. Yesterday Suppan pitched well again and got no run support in a 2-0 loss to the Chicago Cubs.

Suppan went 7.0 innings giving up just three hits and one earned run in the loss. This seems to be the tale lately for Jeff Suppan. He pitches well and gets little or no run support at all. The Brewers went against Ryan Dempster who seems to own the Brewers evident by his 11-3 record against them.

The Brewers could only manage four hits against Dempster and like always he kept the hitters guessing and pitched a gem of a game. I thought the Brewers would give a little better effort after coming off a good series in Arizona, but I can see that was not the case at all. In the end Dempster was just to much for the Brewers hitters. Hopefully today it will be a different story and we can score at least.
