Sometimes you will have games where both teams will hit the cover off the ball which is what happen in Cleveland yesterday. The Brewers were able to out last the Tribe and get a 14-12 victory. Prince Fielder’s go ahead Grand Slam in a 6 run eighth inning was the key to this win. It really came down to who would give in first and luckily for Brewers fans they never gave up.
Dave Bush had another bad outing as he lasted only 3 1 /3 innings giving up eight earned runs. I do not know how much getting hit by a line drive awhile back has affected him. Right now though he is not pitching very well at all. Todd Coffey did come in and was able to pick up the win and Trevor Hoffman bounced back to get his 16th save.
In total yesterday the Milwaukee Brewers pounded out 15 hits to go along with two home runs to help power the offense. Craig Counsell, Casey McGehee and Braun, the first three batters in Milwaukee’s order, went a combined 7 for 13 and scored 10 times. It’s too bad they can’t do that every night for the Brewers.
This was just one of those games that happen and you really do not see happen that often. The Brewers needed this win and maybe it will get them moving in the right direction. They have struggled lately hitting the ball so this was a good game for them.
