Yovani Gallardo Has 12 Strikeouts, Still Lose 1-0 To Mets

Sometimes you suffer a loss in a game that you should have one and that is how Yovani Gallardo must feel right now. After mowing down  12 Mets batters you would think Gallardo would be all smiles, but that is not the case as he lost the game 1-0 to the New York Mets. Gallardo deserved a much better fate than he got yesterday from the Brewers hitters.

Gallardo only gave up five hits in seven innings and one earned run which was the game winner. Gallardo probably pitched the best he has all season long and it’s a shame the Brewers ace has nothing to show for it. The Brewers offense could only manage seven hits with Ryan Braun getting two of them. They really could not do much against Mets pitcher Mike Pelfry and you must give him some credit as well. He kept the Brewers hitters off stride and was able to keep the Mets in the game and eventually the Mets did get a run in the sixth which would prove to be the game winner.

Next up for the Brewers a series with the Chicago Cubs which is very important. We seem to play better on the road so hopefully we can go into Chicago and get some wins this weekend.
