Brewers Can’t Figure Out Pirates In 8-5 Loss

Well you knew it would happen eventually when you beat a team 17 straight times they would eventually win. Last night the Pittsburgh Pirates finally did and came away with a 8-5 win over the Milwaukee Brewers. It was a win that all Brewer fans knew would come so getting it out of the way now may have been a good idea.

Mike Burns started the game for the Brewers and got shelled in only three innings he gave up six runs on six hits and took the loss. Burns just did not have it tonight and that was evident from the start of the game. Hopefully his next start will be better, but I don’t know. The bullpen was okay only giving up two runs so that was much better then the other night.

Brewers hitters had no real answers for Ross Ohlendorf of the Pirates. He did the things needed to get the win and he did that for the Pirates. One bright spot for the Brewers was Felipe Lopez who went 4 for 4 on the night. The Brewers acquired Lopez from the Arizona Diamondbacks over the weekend. Braun hit a two-run homer in the ninth, but it was not enough to save the Brewers on this night.
