Brewers Continue To Struggle In latest Loss
By kenwatkins

In seems no matter how hard the Milwaukee Brewers try they cannot get things going in the right direction. After taking 2 out of 3 from the Los Angeles Dodgers the Houston Astros would be a team they could do well against. Wrong answer as Houston stop the Brewers by a score of 6-3 and drop the Brewers below .500 once again.
Carlos Villanueva (2-9) started for the Brewers and he did go 5.1 innings and gave up four earned runs and two costly home runs as well. This is one of the major problems with the Brewers this year starters seem to struggle to get past the fifth inning of most games. When this happens the bullpen is brought in and all the innings they have logged are starting to take a toll. Only a few Brewer starters have gone longer then five innings recently and that just cannot continue.
Ryan Braun and Felipe Lopez along with Jason Kendall had good games hitting the ball last night. What killed the Brewers is when you only get eight hits you cannot leave nine base runners stranded. You will not win games when you continue to do this. All year long the Brewers have had chances to to score guys and have failed. This is one of the reasons they have struggled all year long.
