Brewers Continue To Slide Out of Playoffs

You would think in front of the home crowd at Miller Park the Milwaukee Brewers would play better especially against a team they should beat. Nope wrong answer the Brewers looked like they have most of the season pathetic. The San Diego Padres demolished the Brewers by a 13-6 score and help the Brewers continue their free fall from contention.

Braden Looper started the game and I expected him to pitch well because in the second half of the season so far he has been one of the Brewers best pitchers. He lasted five innings giving up 11 hits and seven runs, but only five were earned. Not to be outdone though the bullpen came in and allowed another six runs to end a horrible night of Brewers pitching.

The Brewers did manage six runs last night which on most night would be good enough, but last night was not. Only good thing that has happened in recent days is Bill Hall has been hitting the ball better. Besides that it’s the same old Brewers we have seen in recent weeks.
