Brewers Pitching Fails Them Again In Latest Loss

Even after swift changes by GM Doug Melvin the Milwaukee Brewers played the same kind of baseball we have seen all season long and lost again to the San Diego Padres this time 6-5. Melvin needs more then just a few shake-ups if he hopes to turn this ship around.  Firing pitching coach did not do much for the team as the bullpen blew it again for the Brewers which of course has been part of the problem all year long.

Carlos Villanueva pitched 5.2 innings giving up just two earned runs which is actually good for a Brewer starter.  The bullpen came in and gave up four more runs mostly by Todd Coffey who actually has pitched well most of the season. I really can’t understand the bullpen as some games they will pitch lights out and other times they struggle to get anyone out just does not make a lot of sense anymore.

Prince Fielder had another good game and reached 100 RBI’s this season with two in this game. Fielder and Ryan Braun has been two of the bright spots for the Brewers this year. They have been very consistent all season long. It’s too bad more players could not have been that way as well.
