20 Is Fine As Streak Continues Against Pirates

The Milwaukee Brewers just seem to have the Pittsburgh Pirates number and yesterday they were able to send that streak to 20 straight games with a 7-3 win over the Pirates. I really cannot explain why the Pirates struggle at Miller Park becomes lord knows every other team that has come in recently has seen success against the Brewers. For the Pirates it seems more of a mental thing, but the Milwaukee Brewers will take it.

Yovani Gallardo grabbed the win for the Brewers even though he only went just five innings. He did strike out seven guys and only walked one, but gave up a home run which has been a problem for the Brewers pitching staff. The bullpen finished the game out allowing just three hits and no runs in the final four innings which was nice to see.

Jody Gerut doubled in the go ahead run in the sixth for the Brewers as they got to Pirates starter Kevin Hart who also was a little wild at times. Craig Counsell was 3 for 4 and hitters seventh, eighth, and ninth  combined for a nice 4 for 7 day which really helped out. Prince Fielder grabbed another RBI yesterday and keeps driving in the runs for the Brewers. Today the Brewers will have Jeff Suppan taking the mound and hopefully he can get a win and extend the streak to 21 games against the Pirates.
