Brewers Get Beat Down By Cardinals 10-3

Well it was suppose to be a series where the Brewers had a very slim chance to get back into the playoff race, but after two bad performances the Brewers are done and it’s time to look towards next year. The Brewers got very little pitching last night and not much offense and got whipped by the Cardinals by a score of 10-3.

Dave Bush started for the Brewers and he got pounded like a punching bag to the tune of 11 hits and eight earned runs in just 3.1 innings, Actually for a change the bullpen did not pitch to bad giving up just two runs which should make Brewers fans a little happy. The pitching this year for the Brewers has been dreadful except for Trevor Hoffman. If you take him out of the mix  this is one of the worse pitching years the Brewers have had in a very long time.

The Brewers did manage 10 hits last night, but left 11 guys on base. Not going to do very well when that many runners are left on the base path. Frank Catalanotto was 3 for 4 and Casey McGehee had a 2 for 4 night with 2 RBI’s. It seems that lately nothing has been going right for the Brewers and it’s time for the Brewers to start making the changes needed for next season. Put the guys in the places you want for next season and try to finish strong. Knowing the Brewers though management will just continue to slide their feet and not doing anything until the season is over.
