Braun, Looper Help Brewers Stop Slide With 6-3 Win

Ryan Braun had been stuck on 99 home runs for awhile, but he got number 100 last night and became the 2nd fastest active player to reach that mark. The Brewers also got some good pitching from Braden Looper to end there losing streak with a 6-3 win over the Arizona Diamondbacks who have been struggling as well.

Braun who  knows how tough it is to hit home runs in this league was glad to get it over with and hopefully will hit many more in the coming years. Casey McGehee had three hits and as a team the Brewers pounded out 13 hits against Arizona pitching. In fact every starter for the Brewers had at least one hit. This was a game the Brewers really needed as they have not been hitting the ball at all of late so this was nice to see.

Braden Looper pitched well and went 5.2 innings giving up three earned runs. The bullpen came in and did their job and Trevor Hoffman who recently blew a save came back and picked up save number 31 on the season.  The Brewers need to put some kind of consistent play so they can finish strong. They do not want to just play it out like they don’t care. You have to build towards next season and one way to do that is get some wins.
