Chris Narveson, Prince Fielder Help Brewers Stop Cubbies 3-2
Chris Narveson decided to stick it out with the Brewers and now he is glad he did. Last night Narveson picked up the win as Prince Fielder went deep and the Brewers stopped the Cubbies by a score of 3-2. It ended the Brewers two game losing streak to the Cubs, but the Brewers still have struggled to hit Chicago pitching of late.
Prince Fielder was able to notch his 42nd home run and also grab two more RBI’s to give him 131 for the year. Jody Gerut also hit a home run for the Brewers as well. Even though the Brewers only managed five hits they got the ones they needed to count and in the end that is all that really matters.
Milwaukee Brewers pitching was pretty good last night as Chris Narveson went 5.2 innings just giving up one earned run and striking out 10 batters in the process. Trevor Hoffman finished out the game notching his 35th save. Hopefully the Brewers will bring Hoffman back as next years team with some pitching and some better hitting could do some nice things.
