It seems the Milwaukee Brewers can not really string anything together these days. No matter if it is the pitching, hitting, or winning streaks. Yesterday the Philadelphia Phillies came in and handed the Brewers a 9-4 loss. The loss was not unexpected as the Brewers these days can not put together anything on a consistent basis anymore.
Jeff Suppan started for the Brewers and of late he has pitched well. Last night though was not one of those nights for him. Suppan went just 4.1 innings and gave up 12 hits and seven earned runs. The bullpen finished up and did not do to bad, but the damaged was already done.
For Brewers hitters they just could not figure out Phillies starter J.A. Happ as he had them guessing wrong all night long. The Brewers managed 10 hits last night, but never could get the one hit they needed to get them going. This is something that the Brewers have struggled with all year long and it has continued. At least the end is near as the Brewers season of futility is about over.
