Braun Gets 200th Hit As Brewers Stop Cardinals 5-4

Ryan Braun got his 200th hit yesterday and reached that mark for the first time in his career in helping the Brewers get a 5-4 win over the slumping St. Louis Cardinals. Braun has been on a tear lately and that is one reason he was able to reach the 200 hit milestone. Braun and Fielder have been two Brewer players who have played great all season long.

Carlos Villanueva started for the Brewers and went just 5.0 innings and did pick up the win. He gave up five hits and four earned runs in the process while striking out four batters. The bullpen came in and did a very good job with Trevor Hoffman getting his 37th save of the year. The Brewers collected 11 hits with Mike Cameron getting three of those and Ryan Braun collected two hits. The Brewers are starting to play better and hitting the ball which is way to late now.
