Bias.
It’s a trait everyone has, no matter how much they deny it.
When it comes to sports, bias takes center stage. It’s nearly impossible to indulge in an argument without being at least a little biased. And that’s okay. It’s human nature.
But there is something called being realistic, of which many fans don’t have a firm grasp. I tend to think I’m a realist, but then of course I’m being biased for thinking that.
For Brewers’ fans, life hasn’t been very pretty for the last couple of decades, so it’s difficult to be biased or in favor of or about them. Milwaukee exceeded expectations in 2011 which caused the outlook for 2012 to be much more positive than it should have been. They were biased.
With that being said, I want to know how you expect the 2014 Milwaukee Brewers to perform. They had a productive winter, signing Matt Garza to help with the rotation, and acquiring a pair of veteran first baseman. Khris Davis is the new left fielder as Ryan Braun shifts to right field with the departure of Norichika Aoki. Francisco Rodriguez re-signed with the Brewers and Aramis Ramirez looks to be healthy again.
Things are looking up for the Crew.
Still, they are still viewed as an underdog. Very few think they can compete with the Cardinals, Pirates and Reds in the NL Central. But we as Brewers’ fans think of course they can compete.
So let’s hear from the fans, biased or not. How do you really think the Brewers will do this season?
