The Milwaukee Brewers announced they exercised manager Ron Roenicke’s option for 2015 on Saturday. Additionally, the team added a club option for 2016.

In three years as the manager of the Brewers, Roenicke owns a 253-233 record. He led the Crew to the NLCS in 2011, but has failed to reach the playoffs the next two seasons.

“In picking up the option for 2015, it shows our confidence in having Ron lead this team on the field,” general manager Doug Melvin said in a statement (via Adam McCalvy of MLB.com. “Last season was a difficult one, and Ron provided critical leadership with confidence and assurance that the Brewers can get back to the postseason.”

Roenicke replaced Ken Macha as Brewers’ manager in 2010.
