After starting off as a quiet off-season, it picked up in a hurry and ended with the largest free agent contract in Brewers’ history. During this time Las Vegas (and other gambling portals) was setting lines and odds on the upcoming season. Here is a preview of Brewer futures as well as a few non-sanctioned prop bets.
MILWAUKEE BREWER WINS: 79.5
Prediction: Over
I realize I’m too optimistic when it comes to the Brewers, but even when I take a step back this looks a little low.
MOST HOME RUNS IN MLB: Ryan Braun 25/1
Bet: 5 bucks
It’s unlikely, but Braun is healthy and should be motivated and at 25 to 1, why not?
NL MVP: Ryan Braun 14/1
Bet: 0
There is no way Ryan Braun will ever win another MVP award.
NL CY YOUNG: Matt Garza 50/1
Bet: 10 bucks
That’s a ten spot if I lose, a cool five hundy if Garza finds he likes to pitch at Miller Park. Remember the crazy run support the team gave Zach Greinke…
BREWERS TO WIN NL CENTRAL: 10/1
Bet: 20 bucks
At some point you have to spend a little to make a lot.
BREWERS TO WIN NL PENNANT: 33/1
Bet: 20 bucks
If I’m in for 20 at the division level, might as well go for it at 33 to 1.
BREWERS TO WIN WORLD SERIES: 66/1
Bet: 5 bucks
Full Disclosure: I’ll pretty much put 5 bucks on anything with 66 to 1 odds.
Other Non-Sanctioned Prop Bets
OVER/UNDER Rickie Weeks BATTING AVERAGE: .216
Prediction: Under
OVER/UNDER PED QUESTIONS DIRECTED TO Ryan Braun: 10,876
Prediction: Over
ODDS Lyle Overbay FINISHES THE SEASON A BREWER: Pick
So Juan Francisco is really gone?
OVER/UNDER GAMES Aramis Ramirez WILL PLAY: 116

Okay, so I may not be wise with my bets, but I have fun. What do you think; will the Brewers win 80 games or more? Let us know in the comments below.
