Ryan Braun Leaves Game With Tightness

As one of our staff writers just tweeted out, May has been a cursed month for the Milwaukee Brewers. The Crew just can’t escape the injury bug.

In the fifth inning of Thursday’s game against the Atlanta Braves, right fielder Ryan Braun was replaced by pinch-hitter Elian Herrera due to tightness in his right side.

Braun has been dealing with a right oblique injury that forced him to go on the 15-day disabled list earlier this month. According to reports, it sounds like he tweaked it again.

It’s been a frustrating season for Braun as he has also experienced thumb numbness throughout the season. Braun is batting .289/.328/.529 in 31 games.

The Brewers are already without Aramis Ramirez, who is on the 15-day disabled list, and not to mention Carlos Gomez, who has been dealing with back tightness as well.
