Ryan Braun’s 1000th Game with the Brewers

The radio and TV broadcasts are making a big deal of Ryan Braun‘s 1,000th game as a Milwaukee Brewer tonight; after all, we fans love big, round numbers.
1,000 games is something of a milestone. It puts Braun in the 12th position on the Brewers list of games played by individual players. Braun has made good use of his 1,000 games.
How does he stack up with the men ahead of him?
It is pretty likely, given his contract, that Braun will pass everybody on that list except Robin Yount in terms of games played. Barring major injuries, he’ll pass Surhoff, Thomas, Oglivie, Money and possibly Jenkins by the end of next season.
Braun’s WAR/162 is the best on that list, but that certainly drop as his career continues and he moves further away from his prime years. Still though, he would have to fall off pretty far to fall out of the realm of the best players in Brewers’ history.
