Brewers’ Spring Training Injury Update

There was minor injury news out of camp on Wednesday as three pitchers were held out with different injury issues. MLB.com’s Adam McCalvy tweeted earlier in the day that pitchers, Jimmy Nelson, Jeremy Jeffress and Michael Strong were all held out today from camp.

The good news of all three injuries bring minor concern, however they are something to keep an eye on over the next few days.

Of all the injuries, Nelson and Jeffress names are the most alarming to see missing time this early. Throughout the last few years hamstring injuries have been an issue that the Brewers have dealt with so there is great hope that Nelson’s injury heals very quickly. After impressing last year, there are big expectations for Jeffress to be great again. After pitching the most major league innings last year it will be good for him to take it slow.

For the Brewers to be successful in 2015 they need Nelson and Jeffress at full strength. Just a week into camp and still days away from their spring training game the Brewers have gotten a lot of positive injury news. These injuries are nothing to be concerned about at this time.
