Milwaukee Brewers Untapped: Garza Looking to Snap Skid

Matt Garza is getting the start tonight as the Milwaukee Brewers take on the D-Backs in a continuation of their four-game series at Miller Park. Both Garza and D-Backs pitcher Patrick Corbin are looking to snap their current skids.

In the win last night, Andy Wilkins hit his first MLB dinger, as the Milwaukee Brewers crushed four in all to take the game last night. The longball helped the Milwaukee Brewers en route to the first victory of the series.

Meanwhile, Domingo Santana was shut down for the rest of the season, which is a ‘huge setback’ per Haudricourt of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. Sports Illustrated’s Weekly MLB Rankings are out, and the Milwaukee Brewers once again are in the 25 slot, over at ESPN they sit in the 24 slot, once again not changing their ranking at all.

It’s been a year since Carlos Gomez was traded from the Milwaukee Brewers and BP Milwaukee analyzes the trade, one year out.  Milwaukee Brewers prospect Jorge Lopez is headed back to Biloxi, not the direction he or the team envisioned.
