Box Score

Matt Garza had one of his better starts of the year, Keon Broxton, and Chris Carter homered as the Milwaukee Brewers completed the sweep of the Jolly Roger Flag at Miller Park.

Garza threw five innings giving up just one earned run as he continues to look to have a bounceback year after the worst season of his career in 2015.

Ryan Braun sat for this fourth straight game and David Stearns held Jonathan Lucroy out again as the Milwaukee Brewers look to deal the catcher before the trade deadline ends later today. The Brewers are 64-17 against Pittsburgh at Miller Park since 2007, an impressive number give the last two years haven’t been that great for the Cream City Crushers.
