Milwaukee Brewers Untapped: Junior Guerra To DL

ICYMI Junior Guerra is headed to the DL, and Wily Peralta is looking for redemption on Tuesday as he is getting his first start with the Milwaukee Brewers since being demoted on June 12.

Orlando Arcia got the call up this past week, and BP Milwaukee takes a look at what will surely be a crowded infield for the rebuilding Milwaukee Brewers.  Beyond the Box Score, over at SB Nation, thinks the call up is a sure sign the Milwaukee Brewers believe they can contend in the next couple years.

There are those who are also already looking to how the Milwaukee Brewers will look next season. Part of that team could be the significant piece the Milwaukee Brewers are set to receive from the Texas Rangers.

Is that “significant piece”-in addition to what the Milwaukee Brewers have already received from the Rangers, enough of return for Jonathan Lucroy and Jeremy Jeffress? Lucroy of course, took out a full-page ad in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel to thank both the fans and the Milwaukee Brewers.

Zach Davies is getting the start tonight against the Braves, and if you take a look at the numbers, he’s been one of the most reliable starters since May. The game starts about in an hour at Miller Park, as Davies and the Milwaukee Brewers take on Rob Whalen and the Atlanta Braves.
