Likable Former Brewer #4: Brett Phillips

I think it would suffice if I just put in videos of Brett Phillips laughing. But we’ll save that for the end….so please do yourself a favor and stick around for the best video to ever grace the internet at the end.

I will venture to say it is IMPOSSIBLE to dislike Brett Phillips. I don’t care if you’re a Dodgers fan that saw him hit a walk-off against your team in the World Series, the man is just naturally likable. While he was only a Brewer for 52 games, the positive impacts and relationships he made with people was amazing. Some of his best moments off the field came when he was with Milwaukee and seeing the smiles that he brought to people’s faces was unmatched.

On the field, one memory that will live with him forever is his game-winning hit in the World Series. Even at that moment though, he does it and then celebrates with an epic “airplane” motion that was recreated by so many after it happened. His personality is so effortless and his smile lights up the room.

While he’s encountered some tough seasons as of late, you have to think a guy like that will get it together and find a way to be successful at this level. And whether he is or isn’t successful, Brewers fans should always wish him the best.

Here’s the moment you’ve all been waiting for.

While this may have seemed some sort of eulogy at times for these guys, it’s not meant to get that deep but these players have left that sort of impact with Brewer fans. Sure we could just name some of the best players that have moved on to other teams, but there are always those fan favorites and it’s a great time to acknowledge some of those guys.
