In recent years, the Milwaukee Brewers have leaned heavily on their first-year players to make an impact at the major league level. From the 2023 “freshman” class of Sal Frelick, Brice Turang, and Joey Wiemer to Jackson Chourio and Tobias Myers the following year, it’s clear that a significant share of the team’s success in each of Pat Murphy's two seasons at the helm is due to contributions from their talented rookies.
2025 was no different. Rookies Caleb Durbin, Isaac Collins, Chad Patrick, and Jacob Misiorowski all rose to the occasion and played key roles for the Brewers; all four of them received recognition in this year's NL Rookie of the Year Award voting process. Meanwhile, Logan Henderson and Craig Yoho played important, but limited roles as Henderson was sidelined by injury and Yoho shuttled between the major and minor leagues throughout the year.
Of this exceptional rookie class, three players ended up earning All-Rookie honors, with two being named to the first team and one to the second team.
Caleb Durbin and Isaac Collins make MLB Pipeline's first team All-Rookie class, Chad Patrick named to second team
MLB Pipeline's Sam Dykstra constructed 12-man rosters of All-Rookie first and second teams, with one rookie being named at each defensive position, along with two starting pitchers and one reliever. Caleb Durbin and Isaac Collins, who finished third and fourth in Rookie of the Year voting this year, were on the All-Rookie first team, and Chad Patrick made the All-Rookie second team.
Patrick was beat out by Cade Horton of the Chicago Cubs and Noah Cameron of the Kansas City Royals for first team All-Rookie honors. Horton had the lowest ERA among rookie starters this year at 2.67, but Cameron was not far behind him at 2.99. For reference, Patrick had a 3.57 ERA while logging one more inning pitched than Horton, but trailed Cameron by a long shot in that regard.
Interestingly, Jacob Misiorowski was left off the All-Rookie Team. His later debut in June, limited workload of just 66.0 innings, and a 4.36 regular-season ERA all likely contributed to the omission. That said, Misiorowski has the potential to be the most impactful of the group in the long run.
This strong showing from the Brewers’ rookie class highlights the organization’s continued success in developing young talent ready to contribute at the highest level. Earning three All-Rookie selections, two on the first team and one on the second, underscores both the depth and immediate impact of Milwaukee’s emerging prospects.
