Just four weeks into the minor league season (three weeks for all levels except Triple-A), the Milwaukee Brewers already have four prospects who have earned Player of the Week awards. Every week, this honor is bestowed upon one player and one pitcher in each of the many leagues that make up the minor league system. Three of the Brewers' "prospects of the week" have come in the International League — the league that the Nashville Sounds play in, meaning that a Sounds player has won player or pitcher of the week award in all but one week so far in 2025. The other came in the Carolina League, which is the league that the exciting young Carolina Mudcats compete in. Let's take a look at each of the four prospects who have won this impressive award in 2025 and break down the performances that led to their recognition.

Brewers farm system is on a tear to begin the 2025 season with four players earning Player of the Week honors

OF Daz Cameron - Nashville Sounds

Acquired by the Brewers in exchange for Grant Wolfram on the same day that the team executed the Quinn Priester deal, Daz Cameron is off to a hot start with the Nashville Sounds. Cameron, the son of former Brewer Mike Cameron, won the International League Player of the Week Award for his performance during the week of April 14-20. Over the course of the week, Cameron slugged six extra-base hits and drove in 12 runs en route to an impressive OPS of 1.351. Though Cameron will have a tough time cracking the Brewers' starting lineup, he could impact the team as a valuable right-handed bench bat, potentially replacing the Brewers' current fifth outfielder Isaac Collins, who has struggled to start the season.

1B Ernesto Martinez Jr. - Nashville Sounds

Ernesto "el espectáculo" Martinez Jr. won the International League Player of the Week Award during the week of April 7-13. The slugging first-baseman, who is known for his ridiculous athleticism despite his 6'6", 254 lb frame, posted an impressive OPS of 1.501 over the course of the week, while smashing 2 HR and collecting 8 RBI. On the season, Martinez is slashing .297/.378/.484 while striking out in just 17.6% of his at-bats and walking in 12.2% of them. If Martinez continues to post the impressive numbers that he has to start the season, he could threaten Jake Bauers' job as the left-handed platoon partner for Rhys Hoskins on the major-league roster.

RHP Jacob Misiorowski - Nashville Sounds

Brewers top pitching prospect, Jacob Misiorowski, was deemed the International League Pitcher of the Week for the first week of the season, which only included three days (March 28-30). Therefore, Misiorowski was essentially honored for a singular start that came on March 30 against the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp. Miz threw five shutout innings in the outing, allowing just one hit while striking out seven opposing batters. His success has continued into his next three starts, with his season ERA currently sitting at 2.89 despite allowing five earned runs in his most recent outing. Miz should get a chance at the big leagues this season, but an increasingly crowded Brewers starting rotation could delay his debut until the second half of the season.

2B Josh Adamczewski - Carolina Mudcats

Reviewing the Brew's Tremayne Person documented Josh Adamczewski's impressive week of March 31-April 6 back when the Mudcats' infielder was awarded the honor of Carolina League Player of the Week on April 7. In Tremayne's words, Adamczewski "slashed a ridiculous .455/.600/1.091, racked up five RBIs, and added three extra-base hits — including a pair of triples and a home run" over the course of the week. Since then, Adamczewski has continued to impress, maintaining an eye-popping .640 SLG throughout the 2025 season, while clearly demonstrating that he deserves to not only be on the Brewers' top-30 prospects list, but has earned a place on the top half of it.
