Two games in a row on national television for the Milwaukee Brewers? What is this nonsense? Usually, the Brewers, despite their continued success, are left off the national TV schedule, often passed over for less competitive games among big-market teams. But today's series finale against the San Diego Padres will mark the second straight game with a national audience for the red-hot Brewers.
The first two games of the series have been nail-bitters, and despite the Brewers having the advantage when it comes to the pitching matchup, today's series finale should be another exciting one. Luckily, despite today's game being on a different channel it is free to watch, but it does require a few extra steps in order to access it. Here's everything you need to know.
Here's how to watch Brewers-Padres on The Roku Channel's MLB Sunday Leadoff
Today's game will be broadcast on the Roku Channel, a streaming service that is also accessible through a common website that can be accessed through any browser (therokuchannel.com). If you have a Roku device, watching today's game will be easy — you simply have to toggle to the Sports section of the Roku home page and find the game. If you don't have a Roku device, but do have a device that allows you to download apps (Amazon Fire TV, Samsung TV, Apple TV, etc.), you can simply download the Roku Channel app and access today's game that way.
If you don't have a Roku device nor a device to download the Roku Channel app, here's a step by step guide to how you can watch today's Brewers game:
1. Open up a browser (Safari, Google Chrome, Firefox, etc.) and type therokuchannel.com into the search bar at the top of the window
2. Navigate to the Brewers - Padres game, which should be featured on the home screen, but if it isn't simply search "MLB", "baseball", or "Brewers" into the search bar on the top right corner of your screen and it should pop up
3. Enjoy the game! It's that simple, no payment required, no subscription required, no credit card info needed.
A radio broadcast of today's game will also be available on 620 WTMJ and affiliated stations, but there will be no local TV broadcast. For fans who watch the Brewers with an MLB.TV subscription, today's game will still be available as usual on the MLB.TV app, and blackout restrictions shouldn't apply for any Roku Channel MLB Sunday Leadoff games.
