When MLB introduced the Spring Breakout in 2024, the hope was that the event could become a fixture on the baseball calendar where the league can highlight top prospect talent. Before that, you either had to be lucky enough to get tickets to the annual Futures Game or get to work and watch minor league games yourself (which is a blast). Last year, the Brewers stole the show last year when they sent four top prospects including Jackson Chourio out on the event's final day.

The series of games was so successful last year that MLB brought it back basically in the same form that it was last year with all 30 teams fielding their personal minor league All-Star team of sorts against another organization. This year, Spring Breakout takes place March 13-16. The Brewers have a spicy match-up this year as they are taking on the Reds on March 16 and that alone should get Milwaukee fans hyped up.

Now that the entire league has released their rosters for the Spring Breakout game, Brewers fans have even more reasons to be excited about the prospect showcase after seeing their loaded roster.

Breaking down the Brewers' 2025 Spring Breakout roster

The Brewers are sending a loaded group to the Spring Breakout game against Cincinnati including top prospects Jacob Misiorowski, Jesus Made, and Cooper Pratt. You won't find a larger concentration of minor league talent like this often and this group may be the strongest roster, at least on paper, in the entire Spring Breakout series.

There are some notable prospects that will not be playing in the game. Jeferson Quero is still recovering from shoulder surgery and needs more time before he takes the field again. Robert Gasser is also out with an injury as he had Tommy John surgery last season.

Mike Boeve and Tyler Black being held off of the Spring Breakout roster is interesting, but also not that surprising. Milwaukee has a number of paths they could take with their infield alignment. By keeping Boeve and Black close by, they can make sure they get all the reps Milwaukee needs them to take under supervision until they make their roster decisions.
