On an exterior wall of American Family Field near the left field entrance to the Milwaukee Brewers' ballpark is the organization's famed Wall of Honor. The exhibit was established in 2014, when the stadium was known as Miller Park, as a way to honor the most famous members of the Brewers' organization. The word "members" was chosen carefully as the Wall of Honor isn't limited to just players. Executives and coaches are also eligible to earn a bronze plaque on the ever-growing exhibit.

Last year, former Brewers' closer John Axford was inducted into the Wall of Honor. Axford, who holds franchise records for the most saves in a single season and most consecutive saves without a blown one, was honored with a ceremony last August as his plaque was added to the Wall of Honor.

This year, two new names will join Axford and the other Brewers legends on the Wall of Honor. As recently announced by the team on the social media platform X, CC Sabathia and the late Dave Parker will be inducted into Milwaukee's Wall of Honor in 2026.

CC Sabathia and Dave Parker to be inducted into Brewers' Wall of Honor in 2026

Neither Sabathia nor Parker spent more than one season with the Brew Crew, which speaks to how impactful they both were in their brief tenures in Milwaukee.

Sabathia joined the Brewers in the middle of the 2008 season. Milwaukee, who hadn't been to the postseason in 26 years, was desperate for playoff baseball, and then-GM Doug Melvin (pictured above with Sabathia) was determined to get them there. Melvin executed an early blockbuster, three weeks before the trade deadline, to acquire Sabathia from the Cleveland Indians. What followed was the greatest run by a Brewers' starting pitcher in franchise history.

Sabathia made 17 starts in a Brewers uniform, which included a whopping seven complete games and a ridiculous three shutouts. His first 13 outings in a Brewers uniform were quality starts (at least six innings with three earned runs or less), and when it mattered most, CC showed up. In the final game of the regular season, with the Brewers needing a win (and a New York Mets loss) to advance to the postseason, Sabathia tossed a 122-pitch complete game against the Chicago Cubs and surrendered just one run. In the end, though his time in Milwaukee was brief, Sabathia remains a key piece of Brewers history and their quest to return to the postseason after a near-three-decade drought.

Parker, who sadly passed away last year, spent just one season with the Brew Crew back in 1990. However, prior to arriving in Milwaukee, Parker had a long and storied career with the Pittsburgh Pirates, Cincinnati Reds, and Oakland Athletics. By the time he joined the Brewers, Parker was a 6x All-Star, 2x World Series Champion, AL MVP of the 1978 season, 3x Gold Glover, 2x Silver Slugger Award winner, and was named the MVP of the 1979 All-Star Game. In other words, he was already on his way to the Hall of Fame before a stop in Milwaukee in the penultimate season of his career.

In 1990, what was otherwise a dark time for the Brewers, Parker crushed 21 HR and 30 doubles en route to his seventh All-Star season and third Silver Slugger Award. Parker even earned MVP votes despite the Brewers finishing sixth in the seven-team AL East with a 74-88 record.

The Brewers have yet to announce when the ceremonies for Sabathia and Parker's inductions into the Wall of Honor will commence; Axford's took place on August 23, but that doesn't necessarily mean Sabathia and Parker's will happen around that date this year. Stay tuned for more information on the ceremony so you can secure your tickets to the game and show up early to see two new bronze plaques added to the Brewers' Wall of Honor.
