Last summer, the Milwaukee Brewers celebrated 25 seasons at their home ballpark, American Family Field (formerly Miller Park), in incredible fashion. The Brewers invited a whole host of fan favorites to return to the ballpark and compete in an Alumni Home Run Derby.

The event was a huge success. Not only did the group of alumni, which included players like Ryan Braun, Prince Fielder, Carlos Gomez, Nyjer Morgan, Corey Hart, Yovani Gallardo, and Keon Broxton, put on an impressive display at the plate, but they also struck a nostalgic chord by bringing back Fielder's legendary bowling ball home run celebration after Broxton hit the winning homer.

The Brewers' perfect execution of what instantly became a memorable piece of franchise history gained publicity around the league and inspired other organizations to put on similar events. Fast forward one year, and the Brewers are once again sending out invitations to former players for an alumni event in the middle of the season. This time, however, the group of former Brewers will be competing in a three-inning "Legends Game" rather than a Home Run Derby.

Brewers to follow up highly successful Alumni Home Run Derby with "Legends Game" on July 24

Earlier today, the Brewers announced that on Friday, April 24, following their 3:10 p.m. matchup with the Colorado Rockies, the team will host approximately 30 former players for a three-inning exhibition game that fans won't want to miss. While the entire list of attendees has yet to be finalized, the Brewers did announce that Braun, Gallardo, Geoff Jenkins, Mike Moustakas, and Ben Sheets will be among the group.

In addition to the alumni game, which is set to start 15 minutes after the final out of the Brewers and Rockies' series opener, special ticket packages and ballpark promotions will be in place to make it an even more memorable experience for fans. Though a normal ticket to the game allows fans to stay and watch the Legends Game, the "Alumni Legends Game Theme Night" special ticket includes a one-of-a-kind Bowling Shirt and an autographed card from one of the alumni attending the event. A VIP ticket package is also an option, and includes a ticket on the Club Level, the Bowling Shirt and autographed card, as well as chance to meet and take a photo with one of the alumni.

Additionally, all fans will enjoy $2.50 Miller Lite and $2.50 brats from the moment the gates open until first pitch, as well as discounted merchandise at the Brewers Team Store.
