When the Wisconsin Department of Transportation announced their major I-94 expansion project last fall, Milwaukee Brewers fans' minds immediately went to one thing: how will this impact our gameday travel plans? While the major transportation project certainly won't be done before the Milwaukee's Opening Day matchup with the Chicago White Sox -- it will be years before the project is completed in its entirety -- the Brewers have fans covered when it comes to their traffic concerns.

As announced by the team earlier today, the Brewers are working with the Wisconsin DOT to ensure that fans have the most seamless gameday experience possible while the adjacent highway, which a majority of fans use to travel to American Family Field, is under construction. Together, the Brewers and WisDOT have created a website that allows fans to scout the most efficient route to the ballpark ahead of their gameday travels. Check it out by visiting Brewers.com/traffic or by clicking the link provided below:

Plan Your Route to the Game

The impressively thorough website includes routes from all directions to the many parking lots surrounding American Family Field. It communicates with fans the best way to both arrive at the ballpark and exit the stadium following the game's completion.

Brewers are looking out for their fans by investing resources into traffic solutions amid major highway reconstruction

Not only have the Brewers created a website to help fans navigate to and from American Family Field, but they are also investing more resources into the services that keep things moving around the ballpark on game days. Three extra sheriff squads will facilitate outbound traffic this year, and the team is paying for a towing service to quickly clear accidents or move stalled vehicles to ensure things continue to move smoothly.

Additionally, WisDOT has ensured Brewers fans that eastbound I-94 will reopen to three lanes by the time Opening Day arrives, and that all of the ramps included in the General Mitchell Interchange adjacent to American Family Field will be open when the season begins.

The Brewers will continue to rely on the license plate-based parking system that they adopted back in 2024, which has made the process of arriving at American Family Field much smoother.

Overall, Brewers fans should not expect an entirely seamless travel process while the major highway construction project continues, but the fact that the Brewers are looking out for their fans by doing whatever they can to make the process better is another reminder of the organization's thoroughness and consideration. Hopefully, the developments have a sizable impact on the process of arriving to and leaving games at American Family Field this year.
