12 straight wins. For just the third time in franchise history, and the second time in the regular season, the Milwaukee Brewers have won 12 straight games. In satisfying fashion, the Crew completed the feat this year by sweeping four straight series. Beginning on August 1, they went to DC and swept the Washington Nationals in record-breaking fashion. They then traveled to Atlanta, where they took three straight from the Braves. After an off day, the Brewers returned home to American Family Field, where they won three electric games against the New York Mets over the weekend. And then to complete the 12-game winning streak, they took care of business against the last-place Pittsburgh Pirates.

Wednesday afternoon's free-burger-earning win once again came on the back of an explosion from the Brewers’ offense. The team scored 12 runs with everyone in the lineup except Brice Turang collecting a base knock. Ironically, Turang has been one of the best hitters during the Brewers' current winning streak. He has six homers and three doubles in the team's last 12 games. However, while Turang and four other Brewers homered in Tuesday night's contest, the red-hot Milwaukee offense did not require a longball in their 12th straight win on Wednesday afternoon. With three doubles and nine singles, the Crew took care of business, scoring seven or more runs for the ninth time during their winning streak.

Not only was the offense sharp in Wednesday afternoon's record-breaking win, but Brandon Woodruff delivered another impressive performance. He tossed four scoreless innings before being pulled early as the Brewers had built up a six-run lead. The Crew has now won all seven games that Woody has started this year, and it's fitting that in one of their biggest wins of the season, the longest-tenured Brewer was the one leading the charge on the mound.

George Webb to give away free burgers after Brewers win 12th straight game

For the first time since 2018, George Webb is giving away free burgers for the Brewers’ 12th straight win. The promotion began back in 1987, when the Brewers won 13 straight games to start the season. However, to earn their 12th straight win back in '87, the Brewers required two thrilling ninth-inning home runs from Rob Deer and Dale Sveum.

Then, in 2018, the Brewers won their final seven games of the regular season, took a game 163 tiebreaker from their arch-rivals, the Chicago Cubs, and won their first four games of the postseason, bringing the team up to 12 straight wins. George Webb agreed to honor their promotion despite the Brewers needing the postseason to reach 12 wins in a row.

Now, after a near miss last month, when the Crew won 11 straight games, the Brewers have once again won 12 straight games, and for their efforts, Brewers fans will be rewarded with free burgers from George Webb. As noted in the graphic above, the free burgers won't be immediately ready, but the restaurant chain will announce when the promotion will take place sometime tomorrow.

For now, as we wait for free burgers, Brewers fans can simply enjoy just how incredible their team is playing. Just because they have reached the 12 straight wins mark, an elusive summit to ascend, does not mean the winning is going to stop anytime soon. Heck, they might just win 12 more, as the Crew looks simply unbeatable right now.
