The Milwaukee Brewers figure to once again be in the middle of the playoff picture in 2026. Returning a similar position player group to the one that won an MLB-best 97 games last year, and boasting a new-look pitching group that features several intriguing offseason trade acquisitions, the Brewers will be a fun team to watch in 2026.
However, if seeing the Brewers' quest for their fourth-consecutive NL Central division title isn't enough of an incentive to come out to American Family Field this year, don't fret; there are plenty more reasons to buy a ticket to a ballgame this summer.
For one, the Brewers are making exciting new additions to their home ballpark. Just yesterday it was announced that a brand-new UW Credit Union Plaza outside of the outfield wall at American Family Field will open in June. The Plaza will feature food trucks, a beer garden, a playground, and a mini golf course.
Additionally, the Brewers announced a full slate of promotional nights and giveaways last month, which includes bobbleheads for Brandon Woodruff, Jacob Misiorowski, and William Contreras, as well as what is bound to be a very popular bar dice set. As if that wasn't enough, earlier this week, the Brewers added three more theme nights to the schedule. Fans of the Pokémon franchise can enjoy "Pokémon Go Night" on Wednesday, June 17. The whole family can come to the ballpark on Sunday, August 9, for "Sesame Street Day." But the one that stands out is "Backyard Baseball Night" on Wednesday, June 3, which is bound to strike a nostalgic chord for many Brewers fans.
Brewers announce "Backyard Baseball Night", complete with a Pablo Sanchez bobblehead giveaway
The Backyard Baseball video game franchise was started in 1997 as a computer game. Since then, the game has evolved in various ways. In 2001, MLB players were added to the game. The game was later featured on video game consoles such as PlayStation and Wii. Just recently, the franchise announced that a new version of the game will be arriving this summer, on July 9.
The Brewers are smartly leaning into the hype around the new game, creating a theme night that is set to occur just one month before the game is released to the public. Seeing as the game has now been around for nearly 30 years, the theme night is bound to attract a wide range of Brewers fans.
Also likely to attract many fans is the Pablo Sanchez bobblehead that will be handed out to fans who purchase the special theme night ticket package. For more information on the theme night ticket package, visit mlb.com/brewers/tickets/specials. To cap off the nostalgic night, the Brewers will put on a postgame fireworks show, that hopefully follows a victory against the San Francisco Giants.
Brewers fans and Pablo Sanchez stans alike won't want to miss this one.
