It's been a whirlwind of a week and a half for Milwaukee Brewers' prospect Craig Yoho. When he got the call that he was joining the major league club in San Francisco, he was in Charlotte, North Carolina, finishing up a series against the Chicago White Sox's Triple-A affiliate, the Charlotte Knights. A cross-country flight later, Yoho was finally in the big leagues.
Brewers fans had been calling for his promotion dating back to the end of last season, and when it finally came, Yoho and his noteworthy changeup did not disappoint. The second you see Yoho's changeup, unofficially nicknamed "the Yo-Yo," it's easy to understand how he posted a sub-1.00 ERA in the 57.2 innings he covered in the minor leagues last season.
After a somewhat rocky first outing in which Yoho surrendered one run to an impressive San Francisco Giants' offense, he settled in nicely, posting three consecutive scoreless outings, in which he walked just one batter. However, in his next outing, Yoho allowed five runs to the lowly Chicago White Sox offense, issuing four free passes and allowing a crushing three-run home run. This outing ultimately led to Yoho's demotion back to Triple-A Nashville.

Elvin Rodríguez recalled from Triple-A Nashville
To replace Yoho on the big league roster, the Brewers are turning back to offseason acquisition Elvin Rodríguez, who struggled mightily in his first stint with the team this year. After making his first appearance as the Brewers' home Opening Day starter, Rodríguez went on to make one more start and two more appearances out of the pen before being sent down to Triple-A.
While his last outing with the Brewers was encouraging, as he struck out seven batters in five innings while only allowing one earned run, Rodríguez holds a 7.53 ERA in the 14.1 innings that he's covered for Milwaukee this year.
That being said, the Brewers are desperate for length out of their bullpen as the rest of their relievers have been considerably overworked in the early goings. Rodríguez likley won't enter a game unless it's a lopsided contest, but his ability to cover multiple innings in those scenarios could prove to be huge for the Brewers bullpen as it has previously this season.
