Stay calm Brewers fans, it's happening.
After years of fans calling for the Milwaukee Brewers to bring back their old baby blue uniforms that were a staple during the first 14 years of the franchise, including the team's lone World Series appearance in 1982, are presumably returning for the 2026 season, after Milwaukee's social media team posted the following video on X.

Arriving at noon tomorrow will be an entirely new uniform for the Brew Crew that incorporates the baby blue color worn by legends like Robin Yount, Paul Molitor, and Jim Gantner (pictured above). Throughout the years, Milwaukee has occasionally worn a baby blue uniform to pay homage to the teams that came before them, including one game against the Philadelphia Phillies back in 2016, when both teams wore throwback jerseys.

While occasional tributes have brought Brewers fans uniform gems like the one worn by Jonathan Lucroy in the picture above, it's been decades since they had a baby blue uniform that resembled their 1970-80s look in their permanent jersey rotation. It should be noted that the team's current iteration of their City Connect uniforms is a shade of baby blue, but it is neither the right shade of blue nor does it pay tribute to the old school look, having "Brew Crew" written across the chest. Given the video that was posted by the Brewers, which began with images of former players donning the baby blues, it's fair to assume that the team's next baby blue jersey will more closely resemble the ones that were worn back in the 70s and 80s.
Brewers tease addition of new baby blue jerseys for 2026 season
The Brewers branding throughout the years is somewhat of a comical sequence of events. The organization practically perfected their look back in the early days of its existence, but pressure to change their look and innovate forced them away from not only the baby blue jerseys, but also their renowned ball-in-glove logo.
Now, just like Schlitz eventually returning to their original recipe after their controversial change, the team is slowly returning to their throwback look, electing to make the ball-in-glove logo their primary one prior to the 2020 season. That decision came with a new slate of jerseys that were met with very positive feedback from the Brewers community and the baseball world as a whole. However, the initial swath of uniforms came up short in one specific area: it didn't include a baby blue kit.
That mistake was nearly remedied by the team's incorporation of the baby blue shade in their City Connect uniforms, but the jerseys left Brewers fans wanting more, as they didn't quite capture the nostalgia the organization was hoping for.
It's not yet known if the new jerseys will be carbon copies of the jersey worn by Gantner above or a modern take on the old uniforms or a completely new idea altogether that simply uses baby blue as its base color. Thankfully, the Brewers told fans when all of their questions would be answered: tomorrow at noon.
