Three days after the Milwaukee Brewers won their first-ever World Series title, the celebration unsurprisingly continues. After a memorable parade and rally in Milwaukee on Friday, to which a record-breaking crowd showed up, the Brewers continued their World Series tour with an appearance on Saturday Night Live.

4 highlights from the Milwaukee Brewers' World Series parade, championship rally

During the Weekend Update portion of October 31 show, hosted by long-time cast members Colin Jost and Michael Che, former SNL star Bobby Moynihan showed up and resurrected one of his past characters, "Drunk Uncle," to comment on the Brewers' World Series championship. Moynihan opened the sketch by saying, "My dream of a beer winning the World Series finally came true! Brewers in five baby!"

However, it wasn't just Moynihan's "Drunk Uncle" who appeared on the Weekend Update desk to celebrate the Brewers' World Series victory. At the end of the sketch, Christian Yelich, Brice Turang, who carried the Commissioner's Trophy, and manager Pat Murphy all appeared alongside Moynihan to comment on their World Championship.

Christian Yelich-Pete Davidson comparison resurrected as Brewers celebrate World Series title on Saturday Night Live

After Moynihan feigned worry that his memory of "a beer" winning the World Series was just a dream, Yelich consoled his character by saying, "Don't worry, Drunk Uncle, it wasn't a dream." Turang followed Yelich's comments by saying, "And we have something in common, Drunk Uncle, we've also been drinking since Wednesday." Murphy added, "And I'm the manager, which is kind of like being the 'Drunk Uncle' of the team," before Moynihan finished with the line of the sketch. Moynihan pointed at Yelich and said, "Hey, I know you. You're Pete Davidson, right?"

Yelich has long drawn comparisons to former SNL cast member Pete Davidson, who appeared alongside Moynihan for several seasons. With Yelich making an appearance on Saturday Night Live, what better time to resurrect the doppelgänger claims?

It's pretty surreal to see members of the Milwaukee Brewers sporting the Commissioner's Trophy on Saturday Night Live for a national audience. Seeing Pat Murphy respond to Bobby Moynihan's "Drunk Uncle" character while Colin Jost and Michael Che look on is not a sight most Brewers fans expected to see in their lifetimes, but here we are.

Speaking of sights Brewers fans weren't expecting to see, how about Yelich, Turang, and Murphy posing for pictures with the legendary Tom Hanks?

Hanks, who portrayed the character of Forrest Gump that Murphy so often compares to Jacob Misiorowski, made a guest appearance on last night's show, but made sure to first meet the representatives of the Brewers' 2026 World Series championship-winning squad. It's another reminder of just how captivating this Brewers team truly was. From Hanks to Moynihan to baseball fans around the world, this 2026 Brewers team had support from everywhere.

An incredibly easy team to root for, Pat Murphy's Brewers are now feeling the widespread love they built during their memorable 2026 run. A World Series that was bigger than the team, a championship that was bigger than baseball, the Brewers' 2026 title will be talked about for years, and the celebration is just getting started.
