Though many will debate about whether or not it was a successful offseason for the Milwaukee Brewers, who came within one step of the World Series last year, there's no denying that the organization's farm system became much stronger this winter. The additions of Jett Williams and Brandon Sproat in the Freddy Peralta blockbuster with the New York Mets, and Shane Drohan in the Caleb Durbin deal with the Boston Red Sox, gave Milwaukee the clear-cut top farm system in baseball.

This morning, the popular prospect evaluation publication MLB Pipeline updated their list of the Top 30 prospects in the Brewers' system for the 2026 season, and with Williams, Sproat, and Drohan now in the mix, the future in Milwaukee looks even brighter than it already was. Williams checks in at No. 3 on Pipeline's list, trailing only fellow middle infield prospects Jesús Made and Luis Peña. After another middle infield prospect, Cooper Pratt, checks in at the four spot on the list, Sproat was boosted to the No. 5 prospect and top pitching prospect in Milwaukee's farm system. Meanwhile, Drohan, who snuck in at the No. 30 spot on the list shortly after the trade, is up to 25 on Pipeline's list after this morning's update.

There are certainly some significant changes from the list that MLB Pipeline produced at this time last year. Prospect expert Sam Dykstra, who writes for MLB Pipeline, pointed out the biggest riser (Marco Dinges) and the biggest faller (Mike Boeve) in an article he published over at MLB.com this morning. Dykstra's article is filled with great insights, is free to read, and linked below for your convenience. Be sure to check it out.

Here are the Brewers' 2026 Top 30 prospects

However, while the changes from a year ago are significant, there aren't too many surprises on the MLB Pipeline's updated list. In fact, from the list that Pipeline updated at the end of the 2025 season, which they maintained with the Brewers' offseason additions throughout the winter, the only newcomer is 2026 international free agent signing Diego Frontado, who checks in at No. 23 on the updated list. Frontado replaces fellow international free agent Brailyn Antunez, who has fallen out of Milwaukee's Top 30.

While the names on the list aren't too shocking, what is striking about the Brewers' updated Top 30 prospects list is just how close many of them are to their MLB debuts.

14 of MLB Pipeline's Top 30 Brewers prospects are on pace to play in MLB in 2026

Included on MLB Pipeline's lists of top prospects is a prediction of when each player will debut in MLB. Under the column "ETA," the experts at Pipeline document when they believe each prospect will join the big league roster. Several prospects on the Brewers' Top 30 list have already made their MLB debuts, but because they didn't reach a certain number of days on the major league roster, they maintain their prospect status heading into the 2026 campaign.

Including those players that have already debuted -- players like Sproat, Logan Henderson, and Craig Yoho -- the Brewers have 14 players on their Top 30 list with an MLB ETA of 2026. Nearly half of the Brewers' Top 30 prospects are expected to play in the big leagues this year.

Top 30 Brewers prospects with an MLB ETA of 2026:

1. SS/2B/OF Jett Williams (No. 3 Brewers prospect)
2. SS Cooper Pratt (4)
3. RHP Brandon Sproat (5)
4. RHP Logan Henderson (7)
5. C Jeferson Quero (8)
6. OF Luis Lara (12)
7. 1B/3B Luke Adams (13)
8. LHP Robert Gasser (17)
9. 1B Blake Burke (18)
10. RHP Tyson Hardin (19)
11. 3B Brock Wilken (22)
12. LHP Shane Drohan (25)
13. RHP Coleman Crow (27)
14. RHP Craig Yoho (29)

Some of those 14 names are locks to play for the big league club in 2026; names like Sproat, Henderson, Yoho, Jeferson Quero, and Robert Gasser. However, expecting other names on the list to debut in 2026 is slightly more aggressive from Pipeline, especially given the Brewers' roster situation. Players like Blake Burke and Tyson Hardin didn't log a full season of Double-A ball in 2025 and are likely to start the 2026 season with the Biloxi Shuckers, meaning their ascension to the big leagues this year would be surprising.

That said, in another organization that isn't as talented as the Brewers, it wouldn't be shocking to see all 14 of these players reach the big leagues in 2026. It further highlights just how talented the Brewers' farm system is -- they have players who are on the cusp of their MLB debuts who won't see a big league field this year simply because there are too many talented prospects in Milwaukee's farm system.

It's no doubt an exciting time to be a Brewers fan. Not only is the big league club a well-oiled machine that continues to find the sustained success that David Stearns and Matt Arnold set out to accomplish when they took over the front office, but the depth of talent in the minor league system means that the future is just as bright as the present. As evidenced by the swath of talent on the doorstep of MLB, that future is starting to look more and more like the present.
