Brewers: Brice Turang Hits First Career Home Run In Grand Fashion
The Brewers' offense is on a hot streak right now. After getting shutout the first 16 innings of the season the Crew put on their hitting shoes and scored 9 runs in the final game of the series against the Cubs and 10 runs in their home opener against the Mets.
What especially makes this interesting is where the offensive production has come from. Yelich, Winker, and Adames have been solid but the major production has come from "The Freshmen". Specifically, Brice Turang is off to a hot start with the Brewers going 5 for 10 with 5 RBIs and also swiping 2 bases at the time of this being written.
Most recently Brice Turang hit his first career home run against the Mets. A grand slam that broke the game open for the Brewers.
The 23 year old speedster was the Brewers first round pick in 2018 and has quickly advanced his way to entering the majors with a bang. Not only has Turang been swinging a hot bat to start the year he also has incredible defense too. Turang was drafted as a shortstop but made the move to 2nd base because of Adames we've already seen multiple stellar plays from Turang to start the year.
It was a great moment for Turang to start his career and as he continues to develop we should expect many more. The Brewers have a lot of young talent on their roster right now in Mitchell, Turang, and Wiemer its going to be exciting to watch them develop their game throughout this season and become the studs we know they can be.
